I wanted to bring attention to an online fundraiser that a salsero and bachatero friend of mine from Boston is organizing for his father, Sergio Espinoza Sr. Sergio Sr. is a Peruvian musician specializing in the flute, but he has been undergoing painful and debilitating chemotherapy treatments for brain cancer since January 2014, which leave him unable to work and earn an income.
Donations for Sergio Sr.
To help support his father during his time of recovery, Sergio Jr. is raising $50,000. So far he and his family have raised $7000 in just a few days, with much support from Boston's loving Latin dance community!
