Festival and Travel Planner 2025

Oh, I didn't remember you found it that disappointing.
This was my alarm schedule last year in Prague. I completely agree with @Chris_Yannick that it's neither healthy nor sustainable. I did wake up at noon as well, but without alarm.
I'm going to such events to spend time with friends and live music. Preferably both reasons. But I pay with my health.

So today B2M sunday afternoon social was a complete turn music wise: lots of smoothie sounds from Dmitri, I had a wonderful impro dance with a czech bailarina to good old "Manisero". I mostly danced with all these faces I knew from the first day, so wonderful again. When I left music even was hard on the edge of elevator, playing "Adagio" from Ritchie Ray. So fast things can change, every day was different for me.

I agree. Even I really enjoyed it today. A nice mix of music. Still too crowded but was able to find a few corners of space

Booked All Star and the weekend after El Sol. I haven't done a two congress run since becoming a father. Now to see if my body can still keep up hahaha.

Not "is moving back" but has moved back. Still being held in two different hotels though which is less than ideal. It's become a shadow of it former self.
The night parties are in one hotel. I think the sound garden doesn't have massive ballrooms so they have broken up the festival into more substyles for salsa and bachata. I'm actually happy with the new concept since I like salsa romantica and hate Bachata remixes so I might find myself dancing more.

185.00 euro party pass, no live bands, and same dj lineup? Price about 150 euro too big for me unless you live in Warsaw. And even then.
There is a live band on Saturday night but yes I agree with the rest. Every year for the last 10 years I've purchased the ticket for the following year on the Sunday night release of the super early bird passes but I doubt I'll be doing that this year. Unless I'm pleasantly surprised, it's probably going to be my last El Sol.

Unless they've refurbished it already, the Sound Garden is one of those hotels with glass walls for the bathroom in the bedrooms. Will never stay there again, once was enough!

El Sol Spring this year was in the same location, Sound Garden Hotel. The rooms still have the glass walls for the shower. The hotel was big enough for El Sol Spring, but I cannot imagine how they will fit a regular El Sol in there. I've seen their different rooms and the restaurant. When they want to squeeze 1500 people in there it will be incredibly crowded, even if the crows splits into Bachata and the different Salsa styles. Their biggest conference room is 277 m2, the foyer is a bit bigger, the restaurant and bar arear are rather small. They will also need space for the DJ area and concert. The small space is the reason why I won't go this year. If people report that there was no problem with space, I'll probably attend next year. I actually liked the Katowice venue, but I get why many people disliked it.

Was Spring good? I heard claims it was poorly attended.

It was poorly attended and dancing level was not high. I only went to the parties and I can't speak to workshops. I would not go again and it was the last spring event anyway. The only good thing was that you had a chance to dance with the Salsa 'stars' if you wanted to. Diego Rivera and Fadi Fusion were there for leaders. They were sometimes standing around and I saw some normal level followers dancing with them.

All stars in Budapest was a let down. Salsa was weak, general atmosphere was sleepy. Bachata had a good turnout but mostly boring remixes or tired songs. Not much festival atmosphere, on Friday the Bachata was in the lobby with full normal light, on Sunday Salsa was in a side room with the same. Pre pre part for El Sol ladt night at Salsa Libre had five people in the Bachata room and 15 in the Salsa room, no other parties in town. Is the Warsaw dance scene dead?
