Hello everyone! It's me. :)

I haven't started in a thread in a long time and I've been dying to start one on this topic. I figured it would be fun to start a poll and see how many people here have met their significant other through Salsa. Some people may take up dancing to meet someone and some may not. But the fact that you're dancing and meeting a lot of people of the opposite sex, I'm sure it happens where you can fall in love with a dance partner.

So, I'm just wondering. Did you meet your significant other through Salsa dancing?

last year I met majority of my girls from salsa.

btw, this thread reminded me of meeting girls in metro issue. I've seen NY metro last january, I'm telling you, it's one of the most convenient metro system I've ever seen ;)

Looks to me like all three options are starting to even out. I think it's great to meet someone through Salsa dancing because the both of you are spending time together doing something you both really enjoy. With my parents, it's tough for them because they both enjoy doing different things. So, when it comes time to spend time together doing an activity, one of them is not too thrilled and just feels compelled to go along. But if you go out Salsa dancing and meet someone that way, you're meeting someone that shares the same interest as you. And I think that's wonderful!

I am one of the lucky ones, too! Yes, it is great to have someone to share this hobby/passion with, definitely! I feel very blessed!

About 50/50 when I was dating. But of course I met the right one on the dance floor. We're getting married in September.

Congratulations!!! What will your wedding dance be? Have you picked a song already? We danced to Tito Nieves: "Te haré feliz".

Are London girls easy to "meet" or are you a girl magnet ? :D

thankfully they are not that hard. the best thing is, since scene is mostly composed of foreigners, there's no discriminations or stupid stereotypes. (and yeah, there are lots of eastern european girls whom not only I love to dance with but also I love in general)

We haven't picked a song yet, but we are getting married on a cruise that has a Latin club with a live band every night :together: (Royal Carribean - Allure of the Seas).

I've fallen in love with a woman I used to dance with! I never thought I would but we met up in January and she just makes my life complete.

I was really cautious about dating at salsa because I didn't want a rep as a serial dater however she had stopped by the time we became more than friends and she is the first I've been involved with through salsa so I'm not beating myself up about it.

Happy days!

Congratulations to you, too, and many happy days for both of you!
