Despertando el Pasado -Soneros All Stars

Son Montuno
Traditional Son. The story is that when Yanesito of Soneros All Stars was in Cuba in 2001, he was at a rehearsal of a local son band and recorded it on a mini disk using just 1 microphone. The bandleader has since passed, but Yanesito decided to release this gem, although it is just straight-up unedited. I'm no DJ and I am happy with old bootlegs of timba, so maybe I'm not as selective as some of you, but I actually thin the audio is good and the best thing is it makes you feel like you're right there in the room with them in Havana tomando un traiguito y bailando son.

Might be interesting for those of you who like son.

You can hear the Audo is not as good as usually, but you're right that gives a feeling of being closer for some reason. Nice Album, thanks for posting!
