Do you know which are the best social parties for NY Style & then LA Style in Barcelona!

Try reading through this thread about salsa in Barcelona, a lot of the info is old though, so you'll need to google the clubs to see what is still around. (Salsa in Barcelona)

I was in Barcelona last year, and went to most of the clubs mentioned in that thread that were still open; there was a little bit of LA style, very low level at all the clubs, and I tried to go on the 'linear' nights. No NY style except for another guy visiting from London.
(However, I did not get to go to Salsabor, it seemed to be shut, perhaps because it was a festival day - and that sounded like the best option for linear LA/NY dancing, so maybe worth trying to see if it is still going).

Keeping an eye on this thread. I will be Barcelona in Sept. From whatever I heard about Spain, salsa (at least xbody) doesn't seem to be big there.

It's not in Barcelona. I was really disappointed. Sabor sounded like it would've been a good night, I was sorry the club was shut that night.

I suggest trying to take just one xb class at any level just to meet people that may be more into the xb scene....the info available online is very poor. Or try and chat to the best xb dancer you see at the first night you go to. A lot of clubs seem to be seasonal, or for example there was one club on the beach that had salsa only at certain hours then turned into a regular disco night - none of this info was available anywhere online!
