Just for fun, 'cause I'm on lunch and have time to kill
Sometimes, when I ask a lady to dance, I get creative with it instead of just saying "Would you like to dance?" Here are some examples:
"Can I warm you up?" (I mean warm up as in dancing, but it gets an extra smile when it's cold outside)
"Can I interest you in a dance?"
"Can I borrow/steal you for a dance?"
"Can I convince you to put that drink down and dance with me?"
"Wow, look at that: Great music, plenty of space on the floor... we should make good use of it."
"Hey... I saw you from across the room and uh, you looked like you wanted to dance..."
My reasons vary for doing this: sometimes just to get a laugh or smile out of the lady, sometimes to cure my own boredom and monotony of just saying "Wanna dance?", or sometimes to adapt to the circumstance (i.e. the one about the drink). I usually do this with salseras I already know; ones who I'm sure will take it with humor.
Anyone else have any creative "salsa lines"?
