A great salsa venue opened near you, no masks no social distancing required, would you go?

If great salsa venue opened tomorrow near you, no masks and social distancing required, as a matter of fact masks are not allowed on premises, would you go now?
 
Nope. I want to but I'm not fixing up my Nuerologist appointments that I've been waiting for for 3 years. Also one of my Salsa friends in Hamilton caught it from her sister who got it from a Spin class (50 cases came from it). If she had been going to the "closed group" socials, I may have gotten it the 1 time I went. Plus a free fases in Montreal were related to ballroom events and salsa.
So... not worth it while my health and my mom's health is not great
I'll stick to drinking rum for self destruction.
 
C'mon folks, there's gotta be more of us Salseros who weren't brain washed by the media.

Interesting how those who vote no don't select the I'm afraid to catch covid option.
 
Neither those who voted yes chose the second option. Everyone is tired of Covid including yes and no. But 4 those who selected simple yes, at least two are in countries where Covid has been tamed so it is pretty safe to go out and the country is pretty strict about testing and mandatory isolation. The third is from a country which also has less widespread Covid. Fourth I am not sure where is he based and what Covid situation is.
 
Nothing to do with brainwashing. You dont need to be "brainwashed and living in fear" to want to be careful. While I'm on it it, an observation I have been making is that everyone who mentions brainwashing is using the EXACT same rhetoric. All of them. "Slogans like "head in the samd", "brainwashed", "living in fear" and this emoji .
It is so frequent and common that, to me, they are the ones indoctrinated into that way of thinking or even addressing others. To a point that they are thd ones being brainwashed.

Because it's not as simple as that. What if I am the one who has the virus and spreading it to other irresponsible people who then bring it to their families.

I know people who have died of Covid-19. In fact just 3 days ago the mother of a very good friend of mine died of it. I also know people who have been to hospital with it. I know of countries where the health system is near collapse because they didn't take meaningful measures. People being sent from one hospital to another because there are no beds available. Medical students and volunteers taking care of the sick because there aren't enough doctors and nurses.

I don't want to contribute to this. I also don't want to endanger people in my own circle or myself. For what? For a bit of dancing? Not worth the risk.
 
It's really simple, you're either afraid to catch covid or not. I'm not, at all. I don't require brain washing to be this way, it's just my normal critical thinking. Neither does my teenage daughter or my partner or my mother, or my inner circle of friends.

If you're afraid ask yourself why. Virus is not new, flu is not new, coronavirus is not new, it's always been around and always will be. If you're willing to give up life (dancing is life) so easily, you suck, and I want nothing to do with you. You can't be helped. What can and is being addressed is making sure you can't impose this crap on people like me. The fight is on and there are many victories already. In the end there will be an accounting and those who caused damage and injury will pay. Here in Florida we have a good governor who basically put a stop to all the nonsense. Not as good as Kristi Noem governor of South Dakota, but fair considering the number of stupid liberals inhabiting this state.

PS people dancing in masks is pathetic..

PS Since you're so courageous why don't you post a video of you dancing while you're at it :D At least then you'll be providing us with some actual dance-related entertainment, instead of just polluting the forum with your trolling and meaningless 'polls'.

Hm, I'm not sure you are serious. This is a new virus in humans. This is not a flu virus - completely different virus. This is not the common cold, same family but a new virus. This is a scientific fact. A lot of people have died, a lot of people have been hospitalized, way more than the normal flu and cold. This is a scientific fact. I can't believe I need to say this after so many months.

As for the fear part, you don't have to "live in fear" to understand the science and know that you better be careful. But if somebody is afraid, I see no problem, especially if they are in a risk group.

I don't understand your other points. I just feel that this makes you angry. Maybe you should ask yourself why.

Mostly, I admire all of these sentences where you point out how smart and strong you are, which makes it really believable for us all.

Screw that. I dance for 2 hours with my double lined mask on. No issues. When we open up I'm gonna gets me a fine-@$$ mask that looks like a baby birds mouth with a tongue. And gonna stick some Googley eyes to my hat. Then instead of looking at my partner I'm gonna turn my head sideways like a Robin looking for worms.
So... ya know. I still dance. Just with other like minded people. The ones who hate trump and think the world is round.
