Is there reasonably good info that you can not contract it repeatedly? Is there immunity?.
I'm guessing you will only get into clubs once you have an official paper that says you already had it.

Probably lifted? Very unlikely.
I read a post/blog that highlighted the current downfall of US society of one valuing intellect and social progress for one of capitalistic ferver and self destruction as a result. This seems to only emphasize this. Will be curious if the state bans congregation of a certain amount of people, how the organizer will respond. It was interesting they highlighted how popular (and profitable) this event has already become...for now
Not enough information yet. There are a handful of cases where people tested positive after being tested negative but it is unknown if that was simply one (or more) false negative(s) or they reinfected themselves. Scientists calculating the spread of this beast out to 2025 have made multiple scenarios with no immunity, a couple of years immunity and longterm immunity. The results are interesting. Is there reasonably good info that you can not contract it repeatedly? Is there immunity?
Unfortunately, it is taking time for everybody to really accept the seriousness of this virus and the awful effects it will have on a population and society once it gets out of control. The stories out of China and Italy are horrific. Everyone should be firm with these organizers but at the same time be kind; we could easily be in a similar situation; and they are still flawed human beings caught unexpectedly in a tough spot. Nonetheless the seriousness of what they're doing needs to communicated to them by as many people as possible. There will be enormous social pressure to cancel the event in the coming days/weeks. Being that it's still 3 weeks away, anything can happen. An organizer's assurance that every necessary precaution will be taken is meaningless, so is their claim that they don't plan to cancel. If anything, the decision will be forced upon them.
"On Sunday, community leaders from Chinatown joined elected officials to encourage visitors to attend the Chinatown Lunar New Year Parade on Sunday, February 9. Leaders are worried that “unwarranted fear of the virus will hurt the Chinese business community.” Council Speaker Corey Johnson told a crowd last Sunday that businesses in Chinatown, Flushing and Sunset Park were already losing business. "
Money money money... MOOONEEEYYYY
(someone insert sad face and angry face here)
It's interesting that this affects the youngest CHILDREN the least. I'm sure research will suddenly explode. I get the feeling it's the result of increasing development and the bodies natural mechanisms to adapt to advertise conditions as they develop. It's like evolution at work live.
Even the organizers of the Olympics in Japan are still trying operate as if it's a pre-corona world - they keep saying it "cannot" be cancelled or postponed. As if continuing and infecting all the athletes is an option. Once again people need to be firm but kind - communicate the seriousness of the situation and show these organizers what they can do to help.
Has anyone found studies about immunity developmebt towards the virus after getting infected? All i found was that Covid-19 is using strategies to avoid immune responses.
I haven't, that is why I think possibly of repeat infection should be considered in models.Has anyone found studies about immunity developmebt towards the virus after getting infected? All i found was that Covid-19 is using strategies to avoid immune responses.
I read about some cases of re-infection. I have not yet figured out what a low immunity development rate (eg. 1% vs 50 %) would imply though.I haven't, that is why I think possibly of repeat infection should be considered in models.
Cancellation in Belgium. No surprise here
‼ Attention: ADSC (Antwerp diamond salsa congress) edition 2020 CANCELLED.
After a long debate by the Belgian government, public health, national security council etc., the decision has been made that all cultural events will be cancelled due to the Corona virus.
ADSC was aware of this issue and we were also considering for weeks if we let the event go ahead yes or no.
As you have heard on the news, we are also required to follow government guidelines. Safety and health of all attendees artists & dj’s come first!

Kind regards,
Willy & ADSC team
Evolution doesn’t work in few months or years
There are some interesting articles written by experts on conjectures about why kids are not falling sick. There is also data coming in that says it may be more circumstantial that kids having more immunity or resistance. We won’t know definite answer for a substantial time till systematic studies come out.
The kids are still capable of catching the virus and transmitting it without getting ill. That is primary reason the schools are being closed. Not to protect kids but to protect parents and teachers from contracting the virus through them.
I am not sure but a long time back I remember reading stats of how parents of kids are more prone to catch certain illnesses (like flu).
They should postpone it, give people a year of breathing space so everyone has time to adjust. What do you want organizers to do? Cancel it now
