Century Ballroom fundraiser

Century Ballroom, the largest dance venue in the Seattle area was recently hit by an unexpected $92,000 "opportunity to dance" tax bill, details are here:

They're setup to accept paypal, if anybody is feeling especially generous you might consider throwing them a couple of dollars (or whatever your local currency is).

Damn~ Dancing is taxed in Seattle?? Even dancing in Tractor Tavern?!

This is terrible, even though I've danced only couple dances in the Century, this is an important place.
 
Apparently a non-elected official in the department of revenue broadened the interpretation of the law without letting the affected business know about it. There's something of a grass roots movement going on to the law re-written.

The good news is that Century has raised over half of what they need so I think they're going to make it (unless people get complacent).
