Casino Question

When my rueda instructor teaches us moves, she doesn't include any extraneous allardes. However I've seen several advanced casino dancers that style with allardes a lot, and I love it. I've tried to figure out where to put them, but I have only figured out two moves to add it to - Setenta and Sombrero.

For Setenta, after the lock on 123, I add an allarde on 567 as I'm circling around. For Sombrero, after putting the hands over both our heads on 567, instead of releasing her hand from my left, on 8 I take her hand with my left and allarde it to my right shoulder. Then I release it naturally.

Any casino dancers out there have any casino moves they add allardes to?

For non casino dancers, allarde is a hand styling kinda like a hair comb, except the hand is often brought back instead of let go, and they are usually done fast. They kinda go with the pretzel-ly look to casino.

Hey, where are all our Casino dancers? GTO, it's a while since I've danced Casino style so I will have to think about it a little. Hopefully, some of our Casineros will chime in soon.

Oopsies!

most of the casino steps an allarde can be added, dedo. before the enchufla, or before the dile que no. they look better when done to the back of her head.

I like it. Especially before the enchufla. Thanks.

I think the nicest alardes are the ones the leader does behind his head as in El Uno, Juana la Cubana, Siete Moderno, Sambuca and Setenta Nuevo
