Can We Normalize Social Dancing?

So that question is targeted at less than, what 2% of the dancers. Even at a festival what is the ratio of attendees to all of above together :)

They missed one category that needs to be added - performance team members :D That will more than double or triple the target audience for the question.

Is it a meme?

What hypocrisy is this?

What's wrong with being a social dancer in addition to being any one of the above?

Good social dancers are almost always teaching on the side at least.

This is stupid. They are complaining about something that already happens. Every beginner wants to be able to social dance. The problem they're shedding light on is the "it's never enough" nature of the industry. This is fighting human nature.

How about we tackle the single biggest problem in the business, which is unqualified instruction? In my local scene, there's a guy teaching bachata after one year of dancing (he can't even dance salsa). His promo videos have no footwork. What's crazier is that this is now the norm!
