Hi all,
As some of you know things took an unexpected turn in another thread ("salsa piano: campeones de la salsa") and we got to talking about recording our music and sending it to others to add their instruments. For example a pianist would record his arrangement and another person could record trumpet, bass, congas, timbales etc. Uing free programs like Audacity would make that pretty easy and a whole lot of fun!
So naturally I thought, "awesome!" But since that was a little bit off-topic I thought I'd start a new thread for musicians to get together. If that's you, please post:
1 - What you play (and/or play best)
2 - What you're looking for
3 - Any song info. or other stuff that others should know
So here's an example / model:
Instruments: Piano & ensemble (keyboard)
Looking for: Percussion, lyrics/vocals
Misc. info: My recording is in 3-2 son clave. It's an original arrangement (I wrote it).
I'll post mine here in a sec. Anyway, this idea has a lot of potential and like I said I think it'd be fun. Looking forward to hearing from some of you and hope everyone enjoys into it.
