Blood on the Floor and defensive dancing

I had a weird situation where a girl scraped her hand against my belt and her hand started bleeding. My belt isn't really sharp or something, but it was just a weird thing that happened. I wasn't sure what to say other than apologize as someone got her a band aid. Have you ever had something like this happen?

I fortunately have never had anyone hit me in the face and draw blood but I have come close. I did martial arts before dancing, and I seem to have this sixth sense where can do a "bob and weave" when a hand or similar comes close to my face.

No, but I've accidentally elbowed a girl in the mouth and she started bleeding, much to my absolute horror as she's one of my favourites!! She thought nothing of it and we continue to dance together a few times each night. I've been elbowed in the mouth, nose and eye before. These things just happen without it being anyone's fault really.

I've had it both ways. I was careless about cutting my nails once and a partner got a small cut. She wasn't happy, but I knew her well enough to be able to apologise and remain on good terms. I've also cut myself on someone's bling ring, but not so badly anyone other than myself would notice. I guess neither were just one of those things, but I've learnt my lesson.
