Biden's three most emotional phrases after the shooting at an elementary school

salsim

Son Montuno

according to Univision Noticias these are the most emotional moments of President Joe Biden's speech on the shooting at a Texas school

take care all

Joe Biden asked the nation to pray for the families of the victims and reconsider the Gun Law in the United States.... the mass shooting at the elementary school in Uvalde, Texas comes just days after a gunman killed 10 people and injured three others at a supermarket in a predominantly Black area in Buffalo, New York, authorities said.... eleven of the victims are black

"We'll be aggressive in our pursuit of anyone who subscribes to the ideals professed by other White supremacists and how there's a feeding frenzy on social media platforms where hate festers more hate," New York Gov. Kathy Hochul said Saturday.

No matter how revolting any discussion or say on this is going to be intensely political in nature. Therefore SF is not the best place for such a thread.

i can assure you that it's not the first thread that can involve politics in this section of the forum, that is if you want to talk about gun laws.... this thread is about news, a serious problem facing the U.S. for a long time.... if someone is offended by this thread i just want to make clear to you that non of what i posted is my opinion, as you can see, all is videos and news by others.... by the President of the U.S, by a Governor, and a Senator, all of them talked about the revolting murders

i commented in the music section of the forum that mixing music with politics is not a good idea, that is if you trash all the music made in the U.S. and its musicians because of Biden....i thought that this section of the forum was more open to this kind of threads

i want to read the opinion of the moderators

What often happens is people get angry at each other and/or we lose members. People have come here to talk about dance and music, as it is the theme of this site. I think there is some room to talk about other things besides dancing, but it is also important to be respectful of the reason people come to this forum.

if im not mistaken, different threads and different topics

...with the same theme - a specific point on US Politics that is inherently divisive. Your opinion on the openness of the "Anonymous" section of the forum makes that fair game. And the mods' opinions apply across the forum.

i agree, reading the topics in this section of the forum, looked to me that is some room to talk about other things besides dancing and music.... here are two threads that in my opinion are similar to this one, and also in my opinion those threads can be more political than this one because of the protests involved.... this thread is all news, no comments about politics here by my part....i have no intention to make this a lengthy post, if people want to comment they can control their political rhetoric, i think :)

Protests against police violence towards black population in the U.S.

I agree this is something that could be moderated. It's not like we want to do that though. It's just this forum is about Salsa. If people start arguing and getting angry with each other, it really defeats the purpose of having a place where people can come to talk about dancing. I would be hopeful that you might read my words and be inspired to double down on Salsa dance and music! :) (not politics) :(

i totally agree, do what you and the moderators think is best for the funcionality of the forum, by my part, there were no angry responces :) since this is not a salsa thread, i promise that my next post will be the last one

take care

i found this video by Joshua Maldonado, i discovered Maldonado when someone posted one of his videos here in the forum, in mi opinion he is a very good cuatro puertorriqueño player, he also plays the tres cubano... he posted this video about the texas shooting massacre
