No matter how revolting any discussion or say on this is going to be intensely political in nature. Therefore SF is not the best place for such a thread.
i want to read the opinion of the moderators
Yes, we do prefer to keep politics out of threads. Discussion is great but divisiveness is not..
Taken from the Bush thread you started a few days ago:
Did you not read that post? Or did you conveniently ignore the "Super Moderator" title Azana has in her profile?
if im not mistaken, different threads and different topics
What often happens is people get angry at each other and/or we lose members. People have come here to talk about dance and music, as it is the theme of this site. I think there is some room to talk about other things besides dancing, but it is also important to be respectful of the reason people come to this forum.

i agree, reading the topics in this section of the forum, looked to me that is some room to talk about other things besides dancing and music.... here are two threads that in my opinion are similar to this one, and also in my opinion those threads can be more political than this one because of the protests involved.... this thread is all news, no comments about politics here by my part....i have no intention to make this a lengthy post, if people want to comment they can control their political rhetoric, i think

I agree this is something that could be moderated. It's not like we want to do that though. It's just this forum is about Salsa. If people start arguing and getting angry with each other, it really defeats the purpose of having a place where people can come to talk about dancing. I would be hopeful that you might read my words and be inspired to double down on Salsa dance and music!(not politics)
