Best way to structure shines practice

Hey team,

How do you suggest to structure a shines practice session.

Thanks :)

*really want to improve my shines quality of movement plus matching the music

Well, I have found that breaking them into one bar or a couple at the most works best for learning, as well as dancing thereafter. If your partner on the dancefloor is not big on shines, she will be left hanging if you try to do a whole sequence. So, let that determine how many bars u can go... Also look for patterns, in the shine, which will help u to remember it. How many left footers, right footers, do ur steps create a design on the floor, etc... Sound idiosyncratic lol?

i practice mine at the bus stop
it's the ONLY way i can remember them

Awesome :)

Take it to the next level, and practice on the bus. Helps with balance, poise, performance anxiety due to spectators.

Caution: Health Insurance recomended :) :) :)

*anyone have a structued session:

eg.
warmup
-run through shines you know
- pick a shine and a certain part and try and improve the quality of movement.
- try and put certain shines to certain parts of songs?

How do you use the shine sequences you learn in classes?
