The song name is actually just "Señora" no Complicadora on the title....and the album is Meñique Presenta la Orquesta Tropical

Apologies -- I didn't have the album with me to verify the exact name.

The band itself though is definitely the Orquesta Tropical de Chicago.

But the band is just Orquesta Tropical and yes they are from Chicago....but no reference in the name. They also have another album under the name of Sonora Tropical and again, don't reference the Chicago in their name....

it looks like it doesn't say "de Chicago" but if you zoom in on the image, you can make out that the text "de Chicago" is there, but has been almost cropped out of the frame.

but i have both lps at home and was looking at them last night....and neither of them reference chicago in the name

by the way....as i remember now....there are 2 issues of that album. There is the original album which is black with a giant sun-looking image with the pictures of the musicians around on the rays and Menique right in the middle of the sun on the Tropical Magic Entertainment label, TM 1001. The other is the bootleg out of Colombia, I think, which is an orange cover with some palm trees penciled in and a picture of menique....and that one I can see the band being called La orquesta Tropical de Chicago - - mainly b/c that record being issued in Colombia, it needed some geographic reference.

I have the original....black album....I've seen the other but wasn't interested.

Thanks for the info! I've also seen both covers. I had no idea the pink one was a bootleg. Meñique does use the name "Tropical de Chicago" in the interview, albeit after the interviewer does first. Please check your cover for any reference!

they are from Chicago...just not name wise....i don't know how to post covers otherwise I"d post the 2 albums I have....
