A whole lotta shakin' goin' on

I danced with a girl last week who was shaking like a leaf. What's that all about?

She's a lovely dancer and appears to be super-confident and outgoing so I doubt it's nerves. She's about 30 years old so hopefully not Parkinson's!

It's not the first time either, I'd guess about 1-2% of the girls out there are shakers.

Naturally I ignored it, carried on, and pretended like nothing was out of place, but it's pretty distracting. Are YOU a shaker? Are there any boy-shakers out there (err, not in a Louise Woodward way, obviously!)? Do you do anything differently when dancing with a shaker?

You mean the arms? Yes, its common among beginners

Arms, hands, maybe a little of shouders too. This one last week isn't a beginner. I think she teaches, even. But always shakes when she dances. At least, always shakes when she dances with me...

Other girls with similar symptoms have not always been beginners too.

Or she has a condition. I tried to reassure a shaker only to be told in no uncertain terms that she was NOT nervous, she just shakes.
