A confession . .,

Back on topic......

I'm cheating with Tango, but I'm in an open relationship with salsa and a bit of a swinger ;)

I admit it... I've had serial affairs!

First with Merengue.. she tied me all up in knots.
Then Bachata moved her hips and I was lost to the beat of her heart.. she was hot and sexy! I'm still seeing her from time to time. It's not over yet.. Mmmm I remember Tango.. she was classy and sultry! She leaned on me for a while but after three dates I dropped her for West Coast Swing. How could I?
What can I say, she really swung me over to her side and we just fell in line together.. but, maybe you know the type of girl.. she was always trying to convert me to her way of thinking and in the end it got too much and we had to break back to get some space for a while.

Recently I've been seeing this other latin girl, on the other side of Bachata. She's from Brazil. It's a new affair and so exciting! Sometimes she's like a forbidden fruit and other times she's sensual and graceful. Recently she's been opening up to me and when we're together at night.. all I can say is it's like we're two waves moving together. Apparently she's got a surprise for me tonight and mentioned something about a 'whip'!

Well, I'll just be careful. As long as my Cuban and Puerto Rican girlfriends don't find out. It took a few years but we finally all get along in the same house and I'm not sure how they'll react with more latin competition. I might not have the energy to keep it up! ;)

I have noticed that ladies ask guys to dance a lot more in WCS. I pretty much can sit on the side and wait for ladies to ask me. Its kind of nice.

Totally agree! It's so nice to be asked ALL the time instead of a few times a night in Salsa.

Sounds like you are pretty busy!!

I have a love hate relationship with Merengue. Sometimes I don't want Merengue there, and I want to get back to Salsa. Other times, Merengue is such a good time and a nice break from the norm.

Bachata walks in and out of my life so often, I just don't know where I am! Bachata is great, but sometimes when she comes around, I just can't find the right partner to enjoy her with. Then it's as if she wasn't even there.

Salsa is always there, sexy, fun, challenging, comfortable and always different. Not sure anything could beat that combo!

I'm tempted to flirt with Tango, she looks like a classy lady. Ceroc just doesn't look that attractive, but I think if salsa ever left, and I was desperate... no... I'm better than that (no offense to anyone who has been there and done that intended... but come on...). Modern Jive looks like a lot of fun, but just not quite as sophisticated as Salsa.

I am continuing to take classes in WCS. This is my 10th week. I have finally decided I don't like the instructor of my classes - yes, its taken me 10 weeks to figure this out.

I have been struggling in classes - I have finally figured out why.

I don't like his teaching style. He teaches without a partner, he will shows the men's footwork to a pattern and then the ladies and then he will stand off to the side and expect us to do it right. Then he will chime in - you guys are doing it wrong, you are supposed to be putting your left foot here and right foot here. I am thinking to myself - well no sh*t buddy, you can't expect us to get it right if you only show us twice and don't even walk us through the footwork :(

So unfortunately I found only one other instructor who teaches group WCS classes - she is on the other side of town - it really wouldn't work for me. So I am not sure what I am going to do. Do I continue with this guy who frustrates me cus I have a hard time learning from him? Give up? Take private lessons? As of right now I don't know???

So who is this Ceroc lady? She seems to get around? I have never heard of her.

Ooo - no one answered this. It's a form of modern jive that emerged from France.

Pretty basic steps as far as I understand and can be danced to most popular music.

HHmmm, sounds like the closest thing we have to that in the US is Blues dancing.

Ceroc, my friend, is the evil empire attempting to take over the UK.
It's aim is to produce rough leads with plenty of moves and tricks but no timing who venture out to salsa venues and inflict pain on unsuspecting salseras .

... Just joking! But it's true that my experience with guys who say "I dance ceroc" hasn't been great...
