Do come! :)

The lineup doesn't look as 'star-studded' as the February festival, but i'm pleased that Melissa Rosado's coming (pachangaaaaaa! :D), and it's been a while since I saw Nuno & Vanda last, so that's good. The rest are the usual suspects in this part of the world, but there are some very good teachers and performers in the Netherlands, and you should enjoy dancing here. I do. :) The location is very convenient too, right at the city centre. And you get to dance with MacMoto

Another alternative for December is Salsaddiction's Yamulee weekend in Utrecht, but there is actually a sizable British delegation coming over for this, which you may or may not like.

The name "Yamulee" annoys me for some reason :P But I love Salsaddiction guys. However I will miss that.

extremos.nl, Ozlem's coming from Istanbul. She is a great dancer. Do dance with her and send my regards. (If you say Turkish guy from London, she will understand)

If its dj mauricio . the same that played at NY, hes NOT good..

I loved my private with karel and Iloved yamulle workshops at NY salsa congress...they are NOT easy, so most people couldnt get the 1st sequence of their shines...

adolfo likes to give hard time too..I like that...

Quick check - there are a lot of on2 dancers in the Netherlands, right? My main reason for going would be getting quality on2 dancing.
I think it's similar to London - both on1 and on2 are represented, maybe half/half overall, but the level is higher in the on2 camp. And good leaders are great fun to dance with :) I don't think you'll be disappointed with the quality.

But need to find a cheaper hotel than the congress one I think.
I'm thinking about staying at Ibis Amsterdam Centre*, which is right next to the Centraal station and about 10 minutes walk from the congress venue, if I can find a room mate. Care to join me? ;)

* There are a lot cheaper hotels in Amsterdam, but this one's convenient, quiet and has lifts  (stairs in traditional Dutch buildings are SCARY).

Please save one for me too?
Definitely! :D

MacMoto, room-mates sounds like a great idea! I'll PM you tonight when I'm not on the crackberry and can access the internet better. :)

11 days and counting! See you soon londongirl, TwoLeftFeet and redsalsero!

Anyone else joining us? :D

Im mid figuring out which workshops to do whilst at this congress, two slots im stuck with is

Saturday:
Luis & Melissa -VS- Jorge Suarez

Sunday:
Angello Frascolla & Mariel -VS- Patrick Mussendijk

Can anyone reccomend who they think are the better teacher/dancer (from a leads perspective)

oooh, schedule is up.

I will be mostly doing Bachata I think as good options nearly every slot :D - with a little on2 in the gaps and the chacha too.

I went to one of Luis' pw workshops. I wasn't wowed, though he is very amusing. My partner wasn't impressed enough to take the next workshop Luis offered. Don't know that that means much, could've just been a style preference thing.
