What would it take for salsa to have a revival?

Around here most Cuban dancers can't handle fast songs either. Feels like they fail to tighten up the body movement appropriately. Basics still work mostly fine, but the responsiveness isn't there.

Anyone knows this version of the song?

Is it this one by Bobby Matos (2004)? The tenor sax sounds just the same, but I didn't compare in detail.

I like the bachata at the end better than the main song

Good shoes for dancing as well as general use?

I got some pure leather barefoot sneakers (non-suede leather outsole) from Aintap Türkiye (feelbarefoot on etsy), and I love them so far. On recommendation from some swing dancers. Unfortunately looking at their shop now they might not offer the leather sole anymore...

What would it take for salsa to have a revival?

I would like to dance to it. But I've rarely heard a track that exceeds 200bpm at linear socials around here, and this one hits 240bpm. Hard hitting songs like this one only ever get played at the latino parties or dedicated Cali socials.

What would it take for salsa to have a revival?

Rauw Alejandro's new album has this banger as the closing track. Probably firmly in the camp of too hard for the linear crowd, but wow

    New salsa

Not a fan of the salsa remix of Marc Anthony's single from June. Also the dancing in the video is awful

What would it take for salsa to have a revival?

Another reggaeton star, J Balvin, recorded this reggaeton-to-salsa track with Gilberto Santa Rosa. There's dancing in the video. A small 2M views after a month, is that good?

In my experience Colombians largely default to "on 3" timing

    Dancing On3

Can you put on a "I have the music in my blood" persona and just dance on 3? I find that a lot of followers can deal with it quite well, because there's enough of those leads around. Mind you this works better with casino for me. (But that's probably in my head, imagining my linea partners to be...
