Here in Finland official salsa parties are back, really have been for months. It seems that we have lost quite many dancers, but show goes on. Currently we have no restrictions which would affect social dancing.

Hot Salsa Weekend seems to happen, with no restrictions whatever.

Me neither. I just tend to drive a lady to a spot where she has the right momentum and her weight on correct foot and initiate spinning action. I am not great fan of heavy-spinning dance, but if I want to lead 2,5 or 3 turns I just alter my leading slightly to indicate different timing ahead...

I am with Terence, he looks like a regular good social dancer. Nothing special, but looks great when no better dancers are present.

It was a nice festival once again. :)

Yeah. It was a good party. Dj Viper played a great set and DJ Mauri spinned well as always. I did not really like DJ El Malo's set though, it was pretty medicore.

The real challenge is to gain an ability to dance both on1 and on2. It takes a lot of practice to get to the point where you just choose the timing, either on2 or on1 and dance the song consistently, without thinking of it. When music is the same, but dance and lead timing bit different just...

This is an interesting phenomenon. Let's take two songs far from typical on2 music. Sonora Carruseles - La Comay PUPY Y LOS QUE SON SON - Me Estan Llamando When I just listen to the above songs I cannot hear 2 or 6. But if I dance basic step or clap 4&-2 all beats seem pretty audible.

On1 and ETon2 have different timing despite they are often counted similarly.
