Summer of Salsa - looking for a practice partner (paid)

Hello everyone,

I'm relatively new to Salsa (on1) sorry for the strange post. (I'm a lead)

I work remotely and completely nomadic. I'm intermediate, I started dancing many years ago, stopped, started again, several times. The nomadic lifestyle makes it difficult to sign up to long weekly courses and stay consistent.

Anyhow, I wanted to improve my salsa this summer and want to move somewhere where there is a good scene and find someone who I could dance with 2-3 hours daily for 2-3 weeks. I'm not looking specifically for a "salsa teacher" because they're "too easy to lead" and it's hard to get good at leading different levels of followers with them. I'm looking for someone who is living in a city with at least a few socials a week, who has 2-3 hours a day to dance with, and I can pay 25 Euro an hour. (I think it's fair, no?)

Thanks, and again sorry if this is a strange post. If you know someone who might be interested, you can forward them this post and DM here..

Where are you based? You could choose a city with plentiful free socials and just go out every night...Barcelona, London, Barcelona etc

Thanks, may I ask which On1 socials or group classes are considered the "best" in London and Barcelona? Thank you!

I am pretty sure if you opt for London you can get tremendous value out of Supermario's classes - his students are really good leads and he doesn't imprint any particular style on them - just good ol' technique. Extra bonus points if later down the line you join his wife's classes for some mambo footwork to get some on2 exposure. To the best of my knowledge, the scene is mixed on1 and on2. Mambocity teach on1, as well - contrary to what the name suggests - and their socials seem to have a mixed crowd.
Finding a suitable partner who is willing to practice sure wouldn't be a problem at all. I'd imagine this would sound very lucrative to a student who has plenty of time on her hands, for example.

Oh typo, I meant NY, not Barca twice. And the Cuban scene seems bigger but many dancers and events seem flexible. Sinsalsanohayparaiso socials have a huge mix of dancers from diff backgrounds

Soooo you're looking for a teacher. 25 Eur/h is up the alley of quite a few teachers, especially the more East you travel.

I remember a friend even getting lessons for less than that from Mouaze.

Whether or not they are a real teacher or just pretending to be, spending so much time with one practice partner is going to end up with not having a great adjustable lead.

That's just the way things are.

I want my beginners hell to be a little less hellish. I want 50 hours of 1 on 1 before hit the socials, is that ok with you?
