'Funny' feet

So I had a brief Reflexology session the other week...

Shortly after she'd started she asked me what I did for a living as I had an unusual foot shape.

In the nicest possible way, she then went on to comment on my 'funny' feet - apparently I have an overdeveloped muscle on both my feet, running from the base of the little toe, along the outside of both feet as far as my ankle level.

Not having paid a huge amount of attention to my foot shape before I mentioned that I did a fair bit of dancing. She nodded knowingly, 'That'd be it then'.

Anyone else out there have 'funny' feet? Anyone received similar comments, or noticed any change in their physique (apart from weight loss) since they took up dancing?

:D Let's see, what do they call it? My Mother says Slew Footed? Not sure if that's the correct term, my Mother sometimes makes up her own words. Bye it, she means that my feet are turned "outward" which is like the first position in Ballet only my feet are like that all the time.

The very first time my dance teacher saw me dance he stopped me and asked me if I ever had an ankle injury. I was amazed that he could tell from just looking at my feet, for that was the case.

When I first got into cross country running I sustained quite a severe ankle injury and, almost 12 years later my dance teacher could tell the effect it had on the way I walked and danced. According to him, my left foot was "over-supinated" compared to my right foot, meaning it had a different reach of outward rotation along its longitudinal axis.

I became very observant in the matter and indeed my foot does not look funny but it does move funny.
