    Last pollution: Pastorita is a Changüi classic, and the organic transfer to Songo is a clear indicator to the influence of Changüí in Songo. I have many recipes of Paella, too, if my off-thread activity is appreciated. :-)

    I agree, but I think US American approach to life is mainly to have fun. meaning in a bar sitting besides you they are really open, but when they are with their friends at a Salsa event they are focused on that. However, it’s only my perspective. Generally I find US Americans great for this...

    …aaand… productionwise - from a composing/arranging perspective - Ray Barretto is god to me. I advice to listen to “Guararey de Pastora” in his version and los Van Van’s version - both recorded the same year! I use this a lot to show differences from “real” Cuban music and Salsa

    True. But from “not digging” to changing jazz history according to own taste there’s a long way. I really wish one day we have a similar collection, and please including the Latin American contribution. Unfortunately that’s lots of work and not much money. Let’s hope someone finds motivation. :-)
