Tara the Dance Doctor and her husband Adrian. She is a good teacher. Taken privates with her on lj e (and danced with her in Havana). Really God agnidentifying weaknesses in 3 counts of music. I also took private lessons with Adrian. In Rumba. The first 2 weeks I wasn't to much a fan, but...

What would it take for salsa to have a revival?

Could be considered super fast. I have mire on my cpu. And when I was st los van van last January the last song was bananas. No one looked not frantic dancing to it (in havana).

What would it take for salsa to have a revival?

Not crazy fast but a nightmare if they have no agency, or dance homestyle.

What would it take for salsa to have a revival?

I am thinking of the Colombian dj in my area who plays a remix of "Colombia" by Polo Montañez. It has the opening extended and repeated "Bogotá, Santa Marta, Barranquilla y Cartagena, juega" several times with a lonnnng loud siren going over top. So Latinos being djs means absolutely nothing ro me.

    Rejection Sensitivity

Yeah. Sont get me wrong. I' do get asked a lot. I am from a small city, and I am am fairly popular (I hate to use the word) in a few towns in a 400 km radius. But they are still small scenes. Even in havana I get asked a fair amount (except the swedes).. But toronto or at congresses.. nope...

Why some DJ's don't check wether dancers like their songs ? Should we help them ?

Since everyone uses apple music or Spotify, I n3ver get to have my songs played. There are a ton of fantastic danceable timbas (even for linear dancers) that I watch them sear h for but aren't existing on those llatforms.

    Rejection Sensitivity

My rejection are direct. "No" "I think I'm good" "I'll pass" "Vete" (cuban women) (Crinkle nose and pat me on the head) (old white women looking for Cuban D). Its far and few between but IMO impolite enough that it burns Into my memory. As a result I literally never ask Blondes or women who...

What would it take for salsa to have a revival?

It's not worth a 2 .5 hour night to dance 52 minutes of the jight. No one is there to socialize. Just dance. So I sit there for 1 hour of the night not talking to anyone.

What would it take for salsa to have a revival?

The events I havdxzces to are 44% salsa snd Bzchata, the rest merengue, or 40% salsa, 45 bachata, and even split of merengue and kizomba. The only straight salsa option I have is a 6 hour round trip.
