Don't focus just about Mambo or Salsa on2 because that's just 20% of what the salsa word means for real

I don't think much can be done actually I remember one BR lesson where the guy was explaining that black people are more rhythm dancers and white are more melody dancers - which might be true to some extent and connected with how they hear the music But I was always more into rhythm stuff and...

I didn't really check the lyrics before, but Otra Oportunidad definitively sounds sad to me, to El Gran Varon and la Rebelion I don't like to dance anyway, La Negra Tomasa seems to be unknown to me ... Videos with those songs don't seem to go well with music either ...

Don't focus just about Mambo or Salsa on2 because that's just 20% of what the salsa word means for real

One should be able to hear happiness or sadness from the tone of the voice without knowing the words/language. If the song doesn't reflect that, it's not good ... so I don't care if I'm wrong with my interpretation in that case ....

My bet is that he left his heart out of the game. He is a professional dancer and most of those that I know believe in what they do but respect what other professional dancers do as well and even try to get somewhat familiar with that (it's good to have some knowledge about what other people in...

Many times his follower is actually his instrument :p But I definitively agree that he is very musical (even with his own body)

Don't focus just about Mambo or Salsa on2 because that's just 20% of what the salsa word means for real

Anyway, all of his clips posted in this thread are lacking the demo / explanation of that rushed rhythm common in 75% of salsa clips, so they displayed 25% of salsa at best :p But interesting that he suggested learning bachata (I doubt that dominican bachata was actually meant) and "even kizomba"

Don't focus just about Mambo or Salsa on2 because that's just 20% of what the salsa word means for real

In other words, you can do pretty much everything, as long as you are doing it the right way. And then, we are again at the point of thinking about "mambo" or "on2" as the "right way" ...

I have to admit I didn't really understand what's the point  (just like with one of his previous lessons posted somewhere ... )

Huge steps = better looking movement?

Don't worry, the way I looked at dancing changed for me forever many times ... until next change :) Yeah, I remember Intaki, he was here 2 or 3 times when danced with Beige. It was about time I started dancing salsa on2. I actually liked his "smooth look" back then, as all of us looked quite...

Does he/she like dancing with me...

Depends a lot on personality and current mood. Sometimes it's about playing safe, sometimes about new challenges ....

Huge steps = better looking movement?

Obviously one has to like something he is doing and get some kind of satisfaction from that. However, in various kinds of sports (including dancesport), big motive is surely competitivity and wish to be better than others. To an extent, it can be drive even in (higher level?) social dancing (as...

How do you feel about Bachata?

I don't like local folk dances or local music either The same with locally produced beer ... So it's normal I think

Looking great vs. feeling great while dancing

Yes, different people look different things and even the same person sometimes looks different things ... Any particular reason why you liked the stepping here but didn't dislike Zuzana's stepping in the clip you posted ? ;)

Looking great vs. feeling great while dancing

As about aesthetics, people of course have different preferences. I suppose most festival salsa dancers and most ballroom dancers or other performance dancers won't find this clip visually pleasing. One of the reasons for that is that there is to much pushing/pulling from the leader's side to...
