Manolito y su Trabuco - Locos Por Mi Habana

It's delicious!
That's my top pick too! :D
I prefer dancing Cuban style -- including rueda -- to good Cuban music.

Favorite songs for Rueda? Hmm, El Pito and Micaela from Sonora Carruseles. :)
My Ithaca group has choreographed a song to Micaela. It's a pretty good song. My Syracuse group heard it and liked it as well...

Hi Sagitta! Good to "see" you!

The best rueda song ever has to be "El cuarto de Tula", more specifically the version by Truco & Zaperoko. It is snappy, the lyrics are sticky (if you hear it once, you'll be humming it all night!) and is quintessentially CUBAN!

Second choice is "El negro esta cocinando" by Los Van Van

Third choice "Cogele el gusto" By Wayne Gorbea & Salsa Picante

"Micaela" by Sonora Carruseles gets my vote as well. I learned Rueda to this song so I might be just a *little* biased
I just don't see this as a Rueda track :D

I love it, especially the Bimbo remix, but it's a boogaloo / pachanga.

OK, OK, I'll suggest it the time I join my circle

I like "no le pegue la negra" by Joe Arroyo I believe

Ooh, I love this song. "Yay boy" by Africando is also good, in my opinion, as are "Para bailar casino" by Adalberto Alvarez; "El Boni Esta" by Charanga Habanera; "Locos por mi Habana" by Manolito y Su Trabuco; and "Se me fue" by El Gran Combo (I love the opening of this song -- "Se me fue/Bendito se me fue/Se me fue la mujer/Pa' alla pa' Nueva York" then you get the horns followed by the chorus).
