If we have a "I'm happy today, because..." thread, why not have a "not happy" one? I'll start...

I'm a bit dissappointed today, cause today was the last day of Jorge Camaguey's workshops, and I really enjoyed those.

I didn't have a brilliant night last night.

Observed the really good dancers dancing with each other (amazing!) then found it rather uncomfortable to watch the obvious disappointment some of them (not all) showed when someone not up to their high expectations asked for a dance, they didn't even attempt to hide their disapproval at being asked or boredom during the dance. I'm not talking beginners asking the 'elite', I'm talking pretty good dancers - just not good enough for them. Needless to say, I didn't ask any of them, I didn't want to be the reason for that look of boredom on their faces.

I think a flat refusal would actually be kinder than putting some poor soul through the humiliation of dancing with them like they were something they'd scrapped off the bottom of their shoe.

The one's I'm referring to are fantastic dancers, just not very fantastic people.

That si definitely sad for a sabor ambassador!

I went to the CSA at 10:00 and the veggies weren't there! They told us to do the u-pick, but I didn't have proper issues and the ground was muddy and the hems of my trousers got muddy, plus my sneakers. never going at ten again. Noon for me. :-(

Wouldn't it be strange if their tyres were accidentally let down.

I'm not happy today because.. I knocked over a sealed coffee cup on my laptop keyboard. It's been about 10 years since I spilt coffee on my computer and I use them every day. Still, managed to stop most of it leaking inside and it still works fine for now.. (slowly corroding inside). If I disappear from SF for a while you'll know what happened.

I'm not happy today because today I officially have more work to do than time to do it in for the next 41 working days. So I am browsing the salsa forums in the hope that the work-pixies will do it for me.

This has been a sad week - my lovely father-in-law died on Wednesday. He was travelling to see his siblings, collapsed at a station and passed away. The whole family is in a state of shock as he was a very healthy and fit man who had not seen a doctor for well over a decade. I still can't believe it...

Hubby and I will be flying back to Britain next week for his funeral.

First, my sympathies for you and your hubby. This is really a very sad and disturbing event and I wish you both all the strength to cope with it.

Thanks Chris - much appreciated. To be honest, it hasn't really hit me yet - it just feels so bizarre. The distance is probably part of it. Not looking forward to the trip at all...

ive had these dances - a horrible experience. i'd much prefer a no than one of these dances.

i asked a girl a while ago and she gave me one of these. i later discovered she was a teacher - but i think a fairly new teacher. ie still with mafia traits and with an obvious case of superiority complex. it was a long song and i think i would have even appreciated a rude NO!

... today I noticed that I rather feel like a stranger in my local scene. :( And additionally I'm standing somewhere in the middle between our two instructors who can't stand each other. So I'm currently enjoying mostly salsa dancing at home either listen to some good music instead of being at some party. I wonder if that's some kind of sign telling me to move to some other place?
