crystal sierra "playa no more"

This song caught me from the start - I know its not traditional salsa - but I love it - anyone know any CDs with this and other similar music on?

Also - anyone know what the lyrics - have googled and I can't find anything!

Thanks

Nic

You can get the single (containing 4 versions of "Playa No More" including Spanish version "No Me Hagas Ese Cuento") from Amazon UK -- do a quicksearch for "Crystal Sierra" on the site and it should come up.

I got this song as part of a compilation CD called "RnB Salsa" from salsafever.co.uk -- not sure if they still have it, but if you like R&B salsa/salsa hip-hop, it's worth tracking down. Also, if you are a fan of this style of music, check out this thread

HI Mac

I have read the other thread but i'll admit to not being a music buff!

I can't tell you what music is classed as rnb hip hop dance or anything - just hear a song and say "I like that" although i'm being told that rnb seems to describe my music collection generally.

I really don't know what distinguishes each type of music from the other!

If any one can help!

Nic

Hi again Mac

Sorry its taken me so long to get back to you - i can't listen to these at work and my internet connection at home is down.

finally managed to listen to them and I'm rather more keen on the first 2 links that you put in your post than the last one

Thanks!!

Nic

Finally managed to get hold of "Playa No More" :)

And, of course, it's the warm-up music I regularly hear - used by Dean Maynard :D Never knew it's name.

So, if you like this, then try Sean Paul, especially Get Busy

Shake that thing, Get busy, shake that booty ...

Heard the Spanish version of this on Friday. Nice suprise as I'd grabbed a friend when it started and then we both laughed when the lyrics came in.

Nickie, I'll go looking for this :)

Do you find that you get conditioned to do warm-up move / shines when ever your regular warm-up / shine practice music comes on? I was at a partner work class when this came on and couldn't help throwing in all my fancy footwork :)

Yes, I know how old the thread is, but it seemed more appropriate to continue this thread with what I wanted to say than to start a new one.

Anyway, my question still stands!
