Beginning Solo.....

Even when schools advertise that no partner is needed in order to take classes, sometimes and depending on the area where you live, it may be more beneficial to adopt a regular salsa partner or a few outside of class. Practicing alone works great for shines but we all know that is only a small part of the dance especially when you start progressing. Have you found it easy or difficult to adopt a partner? How long did it take? Or, to get the most practice in, did you just frequent the clubs in your area?

Just frequent clubs usually. Had someone whom I worked with when I was just starting. She was more advanced then me and got frustrated (I'm musically challenged also.). Might be taking privates and practicing with someone else in a week or two if things work out. :)

Going out and exposing yoursefl to as my leads as you can dance with because in the end even dancing with that really bad dancer is helping you become a better follow and vice versa with the guys.
