Hi Maarten, I haven't been following that thread.. I'll take a look but I suspect it could be anything ; People often end up discussing completely different moves as if they are the same thing, until someone posts a video. hehe

Hey Azzey, dunno if it's oke to ask this way but I'm unable to tell what move they are discussing in this topic: http://www.salsaforums.com/showthread.php?t=8955

You happen to have/know a vid that demonstrates this? Would be really gratefull!

Hey go ahead and copy the moves, that's one of the best ways to learn. Btw, they're only basics broken up and slowed down anyway.. the simplest things are often the best.
Some of them - like the arm in arm move I copied from some pro's at my first congress.. what comes around goes around.

Oh I so stole some of your moves btw. Throwing them in between my usual patterns really has done wonders in calming me down. It seems that the crazier the patterns, the more the spins, the more I need to give myself a respite to collect myself and reestablish my foundation. Some romanticized moves definitely was what the doctor ordered. With time I'm guessing I'll so familiar with the moves that I'll truly master them, but for now this works.

Hey thanks. I first started with a very smooth look and feel because it helps develop good technique for leading. Then I worked for many years on different Salsa styles like Cuban, LA, NY, PR, Colombian and different ways to express the music, including Rumba, folkloric Orishas, RnB Salsa etc. So that's just one of my styles. I'm hoping eventually to get a video camera and make a series of clips in different styles. It really depends on what music you play as to how I dance because I really reflect a lot of the music in the dance.

    hey...
so i was watching your scotland vid on youtube and I have to say, it is so lovely that it reminded me of my original salsa goals. I need to do more of that type of stuff mixed into the complex spinning and momentum change stuff I'm doing now. I really enjoyed how simple you guys made it all look and how much more romance you were adding into the patterns. It's the type of style I've been trying to incorporate in my patterns, but I don't have enough flowing, smoother moves to break apart the normal insanity I'm taught, to truly do it the way I'd like to, and the way you guys are dancing. Thanks for putting it up.
