Hi Sweavo, I've been reading what you've written and we seem to have similar sensibilities. If you have a moment, I'd very much appreciate learning your opinion about this topic:

Hey, I appreciated your advice on the "salsa guidebook" thing. Apparently the author has played with some very big-shot salsa artists like Santana, Tito Puente and Giovanni Hidalgo, so she knows what she's doing. But more importantly it says "beginner to advanced" and I'm definitely a beginner in all things keyboard. I like that it deals with "ensemble" too (the other parts I'd like to use the keyboard to record, like sax and trumpet and all that).

    See you later,
    "El Conguero"

PS - I'm going to have to look up that "campeones de la salsa" too, to be able to play it halfway decently, lol.

thanks for the routine sweavo, I think it will make me more confident for social dancing, and eventually when I get more confident and (hopefully bored of this routine) I'll start to improvise each move and time my music to suit the feeling/music.

At the moment on the dancefloor I sort of freeze up, not knowing what move to do next (this is an important factor that I should have included in the thread), which stops me from carring out the moves that I practice in salsa class.

LOL, nice spelling, I can almost hear the accent! I'm about an hour from Manchester, in York. Are you visiting? There's a good bi-monthly night in Manchester and Jambo's night in Horwich is great.
