Hola Salseros and Salseras,
Does anyone have any recommendations on software that you can use to cut and blend different music cuts together for a performance routine?
The best product that I'm aware of is called "Sound Forge", but I'm sure there are others out there that work equally well.

I use Acoustica MP3 Audio Mixer.
I'm not too sure where I got it from.. the versions i've seen around are usually trial ones.. but Im certain you can find downloads of the full program that dont have a limited usage timeframe.

I use Cool Edit Pro version 2. It does everything, mixing, special effects, matching tracks, you name it. It is worth every penny.

It costs...to much for the moment. I found it at Adobes homepage. But first I had a hope about it beeing a free plugin for Adobe Premiere.

Magix Music Maker works excellent. It is about $ 80 but you can get the 2005 Deluxe version at amazon.com for about $ 25 (which I did).

Two programs I reccomend are Sony Acid and Mixmeister. If you rather have the computer do the mixing for you I would go with Mixmeister...It will automatically find the Tempo and Key of each song and Beat Match them for you.

Here's a link to Sony's website where they offer "Acid Music Studio 6" for $69.95 and also "Sound Forge Audio Studio 8" for $69.95.
I read the descriptions and it sounds to me like "Sound Forge" might be more of what I'm looking for. This is the home (not the professional) version of Sound Forge.
Has anybody used either of these products? What I want to do is to be able to mix together music cuts I have (CD's and MP3's) into a seamless piece of music for a performance routine.

I would definately reccomend Acid over Soundforge. Soundforge is for editing and manipulating audio files whereas Acid is used for mixing Sounds and Songs and Loops. It is very simple to make a continuous mix with Acid.

Important notice.
Fellow Salser@s, although there is some good information here and is all in the spirit of good Salsa music, please be mindful that Salsa Forums does not promote software or music piracy which is illegal.

Another very good software is Steinberg's WaveLab.
For me - it's better than Sound Forge - it's layer support, so you can easily mix your tracks.
