Jami Josephson/Jose DeCamps Beg/Int and Mambo Caliente Int I

Sorry it took so long but here's another quick review, specially for Peach :)

This time I'll take a look at Jami Josephson and Jose DeCamps' Beginning/Intermediate dvd
and Bernard & Sonyo Martinez' (Mambo Caliente) Intermediate I dvd. Both of these dvd's teach
on 1 AND on 2 (NY style).

Personally I think both of these dvd's are great. They show very nice leadable moves.
I believe the Mambo Caliente dvd is better for men than women. Bernard explains things
very well and gives some nice tips on leading. What Bernard & Sonyo don't really show is
styling. When it comes to styling I much prefer Jami & Jose's dvd. They not only give great
tips for the leads, they also show some styling, even for the men.

Even though both show the moves on the 1 and the 2, I prefer the way the Mambo Caliente
structures it. They first show all moves on2 before showing them all on1, which makes it
very easy to watch everything in the on1 style. Jami & Jose however show a move first
on2, then on1 and then move to the next. I really don't pay attention to the counting
anymore myself, I just look at the feet, but some ppl who want to learn the on1 style
might find it a bit annoying.

For the leads I can recommend both dvd's. I think Bernard explains a little bit better
than Jose does (Jose seemed a bit nervous) but it's nothing to worry about. Women will
probably prefer Jami & Jose because of the styling involved. If you want to see some
moves of Jami & Jose just do a quick search on the net. There's a clip of each of their
dvd's so you can see what to expect.

Below I've listed all the moves that are shown.

*signing off again* Have fun all and keep on dancing :)

Thanks Cwazy! Jami Josephson and Jose DeCamps' Beginning/Intermediate dvd seem a little more in depth with the number of moves and yes, you're right, I would probably be more interested in that because of the styling. :)
