Very interesting! How nice to put a face to the name, and what a lovely warm face it is!! :D

Terence, you don't look as old as you make out on here ;)

The heading actually is not quite exact.. the B/room side is somewhat more extensive and varied in comparison, altho the 2 are intertwined inextricably.

Congratulations on getting some publicity. Maybe it'll lead to a gig in London or some place nearby where I might get a chance to see you in action in person. Weymouth is too far out of the way...

Cool! Props to you terence!! :D

You do look a bit younger than I'd expected based on your grumpy-old-man posting style... Is that a recent photo?? ;)

Finally all in one place and partial-mystery of Terence revealed :)

Regarding congresses and all .. it is all commercial and marketing thing. Youtube is way to go. Don't think there should be a problem getting a partner or a DJ.

Here's to you Terence

hats off to you, Terence....it's cool to know someone around here has had so much personal experience in the latin music/dance world - - and more-importantly, that you take the time to share your experiences with us...often-times providing deeper insight and/or correcting whatever ideas we ourselves try to share with everyone else....

and kudos to DJ Yuca for taking the time and having the curiosity to sit down and ask the questions........

...good stuff!

Wow, that was a GREAT article/interview! Thanks to DJ Yuca and Terence for participating in it!

The personal touch was nice, since we all create a mental image of how we think other posters look or sound. Honestly, seeing his face didn't surprise me too much -- I was more shocked at how odd it felt to read Terence's words in long complete sentences and without abbreviations. ;) Hee hee.

Why isn't this thread in the main "Just Dance" forum, though? It's more than just a general link to a website, and I think many people in the much busier forum would enjoy reading the article as much as I did. Plus, for selfish reasons, it will allow us to see Terence's YouTube video sooner if we can find a female partner for him more quickly by widening the scope of his search.

Too much free time on my hands... I've edited Terence's old workshop video from over a year ago with aspect ratio adjusted so that people don't look like dwarves.

Different versions of these videos have been available for a while on youtube.

lesson excerpt 1

lesson excerpt 2

dance clips only (On2 and On3)

Video was shot by DJ Yuca. All in all I think there were 4 SFers among others at the event.

Love the bolero - music and dance (wish I'd captured more of it on film). How do I start a bolero revival?

DJ Yuca

Maybe I could market it as a hot new dance, like kizomba . . .

Its very popular in the States ( mainly in the B/room genre ) but .. latino clubs do sometimes play the music, and people do the traditional "slow" dance thing.. the music variety is quite large..

In fact, I think I will intro. it at my Salsa class this week

Thanks to you both for putting together that interview and the videos. Really nice to see some 'faces', and to hear a few words of wisdom.

Very nice interview. Thank you for posting. It is nice to know the person behind the name, especially when it comes to the forums and especially because I'm not from the UK as many are. I really liked what Terence had to say about musicality and about the demand for only a select group of instructors. A good reminder of how deep the rabbit hole really is. :)
