With a lineup of salsas’ greatest international stars and dance teams, the fourth annual Boston Salsa congress is due to heat up the scene this fall. Keep this date October 15, 16 and 17th open it is not to be missed! All the excitement of a major Salsa congress is about to arrive in full force, complete with a great new location in Medford Square. Spring Step , a brand new dance facility housing,get this, TWO great dance floors with sprung wooden surfaces will be hosting exciting performances in one room and non stop dancing in the other, accomodating up to 500 dancers! The opening night will be at Charlestown’s Knights of Columbus hall.
Over the last four years, the salsa scene here in the Boston area has grown by leaps and bounds. Originally spearheaded by a hand full of dedicated instructors and their students, the scene has grown active enough to sustain numerous salsa dancing venues every night of the week. People from all walks of the cities’ diverse groupings have discovered the great fun of dancing salsa.
