I dont understand a word of spanish other than Si :( Is this a bad thing, cuz they tell me to dance to the music, but do the words really matter. I guess what im asking is, Is there a site that translates spanish songs.... at least the ones frequently played at the club?
 
Hi SS. :D There are sites you can try depending on the song like letssingit.com or musicofpuertorico.com Lyrics are in spanish but you can use an online translator like world.altavista.com It will be a very broken type of translator but you can get kind of an idea of what the song is talking about. :)
 
You can also pick up a smattering of spanish at learnspanish.com . They teach it beautifully. Also at BBC's spanish learning site which you easily search for. I taught myself un poco ( a little ) and it does enhance your enjoyment of the music, I guess. By the way, one of the most common things they sing about is the music itself! They talk of the rythmn, the enjoyment of it, the instruments, about where salsa is danced.. and each group or singer has a signature line or phrase. There are of course more romantic ones that have a story of heartbreak and so on. Es mucho facile!
