I’m sure some of you have seen this but I had to spread the word. Finally dvds which breakdown how you can do “it”, instead of just getting some instructor’s interpretation of a particular song. I spoke to Edie and can you believe there are a whopping 31 of the World’s Best Leads Series in production. Not to mention the very soon to come "Musicality" dvd which people are already talking about. Here's the description from Live link removed by Moderator.

"As Edie travels to a different country every weekend, she experiences every type of lead imaginable. One thing in particular, is that certain guys are "born natural Salseros" and keep getting better, while others tend to
stagnate, or just get worse. What is it about certain men's leads who feel so good - like a fine wine, while others make the woman feel cheap, used, and insignificant?

As an ambassador of this dance, Edie took it upon herself to go to ten different countries all over the world, and choose the top social dancers from each one - not necessarily the top performers, nor top teachers -
but top "social dancers" and asked if they would be interested in creating a DVD or two together. Some she created two, others four or five.

What she was looking for were social dancers who made her "feel" good on the floor - not just some guy putting her into a ton of convoluted turn patterns. She wanted the "feeling and sensuality" of that guy. What was he
doing that was so different? "Why" does he feel so good? As an instructor, Edie's passion is to share and explain to the world what certain guys are doing in their lead that makes them feel ssssooooo good and unique – to the
last detail.

Edie's motto: "It is the woman's responsibility to make the man "look
good", it is the man's responsibility to make the woman "feel good".
- Edie, The Salsa FREAK

What was interesting is that when Edie was creating the DVDs with them, she would explain certain aspects of their lead that even THEY were unaware of.
Shocked that no one else was doing what they were, they now learned to "teach" what Edie pointed out to them.

As Edie teaches, she adds in her own Ladies Styling - complimenting his incredible lead - why? Because his incredible lead "allows" her to fit in her style as well. The ladies will see this, and learn a great deal as
well.

These guys are "natural born Salersos" who have secrets only Edie reveals in this series. Why? Because she dances with hundreds of men every week, from all over the world - and can tell in an instant who's got talent – and who
needs help.

Learn and enjoy - make her "feel good".

- Edie

Nice marketing pitch, but it seems like this information has been covered already in another thread.

Yeah, you don't have to look that hard to find a thread exposing Salsa's lack of musicality. These are the mega-threads.

Wow, on DF the thread " Why is Musicality So Hard/Rare to Find in Salsa" is at 18 pages!

I'm going to get the Dvd soon whenever people stop sending me bills  But I not going to tell other guys about it because I'm gonna have an edge over them. 8)

thanks for recognizing the marketing skills.....I took an online course...hehehe

seriously though with all these musicality threads I'm just glad to see that we finally get someone like Edie who's showing us how to do something about our musicality or lack thereof.....tired of being told "feel it" or "do this" or "check this routine"..........

Wow...

You have DVDs and you haven't opened them yet? I am impressed .. lol. I normally open them and take a quick look, before stashing them away in the queue to be learnt.. lol. Granted, I might never get there, but I have some idea what I plan to learn... :) :) :).

It's a little scary to consider that there are 31 of these DVD's coming out. That could be quite a large chunk of money!

Is it really 31 DVDs? I read the figure and just thought maybe they meant 31 guys. So how on earth do you decide which one to buy since buying all would be out of the question? And that is after, I even try to understand how I did not make it into 31 DVDs, having danced with her? lol....

I rather wonder what you think you're going to get out of a dvd other than being told to "do this" or "feel it". She can't jump out of the screen and move you around. And musicality isn't really something that can be taught, you can only be shown the elements and put them into practice in a way that fits your own style - basically being told to "feel it" and "do this".

There should be a forum for people peddling their DVDs

I agree with KP. If we could learn all we need to know from videos, then I would watch a bunch of DVD's on Tennis and become U.S. Open Champion. Just doesn't work that way
