Hi,
I wondering if anyone knew the whereabouts of Marchand Birch's classes in London. My teacher here in Portugal recommended me his classes once I relocate there.
And has anyone had classes with him already? What do you think?
Thank you.

Hey

I actually teach the intermediate class on rotation with Marchant every other Wednesday in Milton Keynes - we alternate every week, and the alternate weeks he teaches in Fleet (in Hampshire). He also teaches every Monday in Guildford (I believe!)

It just so happens that next week our Wednesday Venue is having a party night so we're probably both going to be there - if I remember I'll have a word with him and find out what other regular classes (if any) he's doing.

Hope this helps!

Wow, great, isn't this a small world? :D Thanks, Clare!!!
What a pity, because Milton Keynes, Guildford and Fleet are just too far for me to attend classes during the week, since I will be based in Central London. It would be ok, though, to go to a party venue there once every now and then during the weekend!

I know - small world it is indeed!

I'll find out from Marchant if he's doing anything more central - but if not I'll let you know if there are any party nights / events that he's doing as I quite often inevitably here about them! :D

cheers!
Is there any newsletter or mailing list I could subscribe to?
By the way, what are the good places to learn and dance in London during August? I take it is the less busiest month of the salsa year, but you know how bad a salsero/a deals with dance abstinence! I haven't danced for two weeks until yesterday, and although I had no personal or professional woes, my mood was really affected!

I shall find out for you - as for August I shall also try and find out but I would say that the usual suspects will still be the places to go, Bar Salsa, My Place, Sound etc.

I'll keep you posted! :D
