I've never dance in Jacksonville but this might be a good place to start  dancesalsajax.org
Also, have you check the "Clubs in your Area" thread in this section?

I have been living here in JAX for a year now and there is not much here. Yes, we have some Latin clubs and I read in the newspaper that 50.000 Latinos live in this city. Where are they on the weekends?
There is the Havana on Fri and Sat nights. On Fri it is kind of empty, on Sat. it can get crowded but not always.

This is a restaurant with the dance club next to it. The music is mixed: salsa, merengue, bachata, reggeaton.

We have been to the dancing once and the band was terrible, so we have not gone back. This is a restaurant with a small dancefloor.
There used to be Latin night on Fridays at the Elixir, 341 Park Ave

We have not been there for a long time since the DJ LOVES reggeaton and plays almost only reggeaton-like music. The place itself is not bad but the music is. Don't know if they still have Latin night.
Then there is The Globe on Saturdays (I think Fridays, too), a huge discotheque, but mostly reggeaton and a young crowd, sometimes also problems.

On Thursdays there is Latin night at Twisted Martini, a nice bar at the Jacksonville Landing downtown.
The Havana would probably be your safest bet on the weekend unless you like reggeaton. Twisted Martini is not so bad on Thursdays. Mixed crowd, good size dance floor.
On Sept. 22, we have a Puertorrican Parade here.
My husband and I go to Orlando for good salsa fixes.
