HI people

have started dancing in some shoes that have very small heels on them - and the balls of my feet are sooo sore today.

Someone said I should try "party feet" what are they and are they any good?

Aside from that - any tips to stop sore feet?! and don't say a radox bath either - tried that and they still hurt  (mind you I suppose 3 hours of salsa will do that to you!)

Hi Nic,

I'm afraid I don't know if they are any good because I haven't tried them but party feet are small gel filled pads that you put in your shoes, they are supposed to stop the balls of your feet from hurting, I think they are made by Scholl.

Are you wearing proper dance shoes? Because the good ones do have pretty good padding built into them. I've got party feet and they provide extra padding but still, if i'm not wearing my dance shoes, my feet would hurt like hell even with those inside... can't you wear shoes with more stable heels? When I go dancing, I dance up to 4 hours and my feet are fine thanks to the chunky heeled dance shoes I've got....

can be you're not used to being on your feet as long as you have been. simple muscular pain can be the result... treat your feet well: massage them, put them up, train and stretch the muscles in your feet etc.
and those gel pads can help as well.
good luck

I would say to you that you should definately try some better shoes - I can recommend somewhere in London that's great if you're interested. Party feet I wouldn't recommend - I used them for a normal night clubbing and every time I danced they moved about in my shoes - irritated me immensely and I spent the whole night re-adjusting....

I swear by Party Feet! I've never had any problem with them moving inside the shoes (sweat seems to make them stick to the bottom of shoes ). They are small gel insoles made by Scholl that fit under the balls of feet. You should be able to buy them from Boots, and many supermarkets also stock them.

If you have well-pampered feet with soft skin, the answer may be to acquire some callus!
Do your shoes fit well? If they are a bit loose and your feet slide inside, that may be making the situation worse.
