Forums Meet and Greet – Sept 16th–18th - London, UK

OK people – it’s official – we are doing a salsa related forums meet and greet in London, UK the weekend of September 16th – 18th giving the option for people coming from further afield to stay for the week and come to the UK Salsa congress in Bognor Regis the weekend after (those of us from the UK will probably be going anyway!! :D)

I’ll be happy to organise and co-ordinate the evening entertainment for our weekend (I’ll scope out any events that are happening – and if there are none I’ll work out the best clubs for us to hit while everyone’s here – if anyone has suggestions / requests then tell me and we’ll try and work it in!) and if visitors want to do anything specific during the day we’ll sort that out too!

Any Londoners who are happy to help me pull this together – let me know – any help will be much appreciated!! :D

If people can offer accommodation can you let me know so I can match people up – if people need accommodation similarly if you let me know I can try and match up people to stay with or try and recommend hotels / B&Bs depending what you want…

If anyone has any questions / suggestions then please let me know and we’ll work them in / do our best to organise them!

EDIT: Due to a comment made on the forums I wanted to add this footnote - This is a friendly meet and greet for ALL Levels!! - We don't care as long as you want to have fun!! ...and just think, for those who are more newbie among us - you'll have the benefit of all these frienly dancers who will be happy to help you in any way they can!!

Well guys this is now well into the planning stages - I'm organising and looking into the best clubs to take you all to on Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights what I now need is a definitive list of yes's and no's.

Can everyone who is planning to come please send me an email at claire@salsarific.com (as it's far easier to manage then doing it on here!) with the following information:

Your name
Where you are from
When you will be arriving for the meet and greet
When you will be departing our fine city
Whether you have / need help finding accommodation
If you are local if you can offer accommodation
If you are local if you can offer any help with organising
Any other information you think may be useful!!

I'll then use this thread to give general information updates to all who are coming! :D

I'm in work so I can't email you i'm sorry. I'm really sorry but I can't make it to the meet and greet now. I have to attend the wedding of one of my husbands relatives. i'm so sorry to let you down at the last minute, i'm really disappointed that I can't meet up with you all. Since I've only had one response to this (assuming everyone's busy at the moment!) I'm going to cancel the meet and greet for this weekend and I'll look at arranging one in the new year. If anyone based in London fancies a night out at some point then let me know and we can meet up :D
