Greetings from Austin, Texas!
I have started a new wiki project to help salseros around the world describe their salsa scene to make it easier for visitors to figure out where to go salsa dancing.
For example, if any of you visit Austin, Texas, you can spend hours searching the internet to find out where to go salsa dancing. Or you can visit the Salsa Nirvana page for Austin and quickly get the insider's scoop on where the hot salsa action is. Complete with the maps!

I want to help create a page like this for every city in the world. That's why I'm calling for help! No matter where in the world you live you can create a page for your city and with help of your friends tell the world about your salsa scene.
I'm running the same wiki software as Wikipedia does. It makes creating web pages collaboratively very easy. It also means that the pages will stay up to date. For example, the Salsa Power page for Austin is 2 years out of date. The person who maintained it lost interest and no one else can edit the pages. With a wiki anybody can update the listings.
I have also included editable Google Maps for the pages. You can add your favorite salsa club to the map and show every one where it is.
