Hello everyone!
I'm in the US right now and I neeeeeed a salsafix. Haven't danced salsa for 2,5 weeks by now and I'm going nuts. But I have such limited time on the internet right now so I was kind of hoping you guys could help me out figuring out where to go and I'll check your answers tonight.
I'm in Escondido so either in San Diego or La Jolla. And I would love it if there was a salsa lesson before. Fri, Sat or Sun, whichever you recommend.
Hugs and kisses to anyone who will help me out!

Have you checked out www.salsasandiego.net or www.salsaca.com?

Yes, I checked out salsasandiego.net quickly, but there are so many options so I was hoping someone could recommend a good place. Thanks for salsaca.com though.:)

La Jolla
That brings back memories.
No help for you though :D
I really like the instructors with Majesty in Motion. Maybe you can check their website (http://www.majestyinmotion.com) and see what classes and events they have?

David Stein and 3 other members of his team came here to Abq to teach an On2 workshop which i really enjoyed. I would recommend them. :D

Unfortunately we didn't go to Lucky star, we called them and they said there were mostly couples going there. So we went to Pura vida, but it turned out they didn't have Friday night salsa anymore so we happened to walk in to a private party. One of the guys there, Carlos, was really helpful and told us about a lot of places. We decided to check out The Mambo Lounge. But when we got there we discovered it was their premiere night of Tangohop. They hade replaced their salsa with tangohop. Ended up trying tango instead.
Tonight we're going to the Marriott and tomorrow to Estancia hotel. I need a salsafix NOW! :D

I reacted the same way :D But it was actually kind of fun. First they had a lindyhop class for an hour and then played music so you could practice. And later on they had a tango class and then played music so you could practice. They gave a few lessons of both dances.
I went to the Marriott last night and I had so much fun! It was my first time ever dancing linestyle, but now I'm all inspired so I've decided to take a linestyle class this fall. I loved it! And the people at the Marriott were so friendly and helpful. I'm still in a good mood from last nights dancing. :D

Glad to hear you had a good time at the Marriott last night Lilith. Sorry I hadn't seen this thread in advance though, as I was there and would have definitely wanted to say "hi" in person...

SDsalsaguy: Next time ;) I'll definately be back in the future, I loved it here.
Had an equally fantastic night at Estancia hotel last night. I'm just amazed at how patient and tolerant guys are over here. Since Saturday was my first linestyle class I obviously messed up every once in a while, but they didn't get frustrated with me (or at least they didn't show it) and I got a lot of compliments on being a good follow which felt really good to hear  I'm still high from last night, I just want to go home to Sweden and practice, practice, practice!
