You'll get the opportunity to cheer him up personally tonight Jambo, as we're both coming to Horwich! Yayyyy!!!

An extra banana for the above

I've added a few detailed directions under the map (including a spreed camera warning - not that I think you would speed Mr Bear, being an ex advanced motorcycle instructor and all ;) )

Hey Jambo

Thanks for a great night last night. We all had a brill time and had a good natter comparing "best dance of the night" on the drive back. The Bear and I both thought our combined dance with you came top - maybe not for quality of moves, but definitely for amount of fun involved.

Finally can add you to my list of folk I've danced with from SF - and I sincerely hope it won't be the last time. After watching the way you move (in a totally professional way, of course :D ), I might ask for a bachata next time. ;)

Great choice of music, good dance floor with a fair amount of space and a high level of dance partner to choose from too (including dancing with Bridgitte, from Franklyn and Bridgitte, without actually knowing that it was she until afterwards) - what more could you wish. OK - maybe a car park that was a bit bigger and easier to get round, but there's not a lot you can do about that. I saw you dancing away behind the decks too - it's not often I see a dj getting so into their music.

Go Jambo :) :) :)

PS - What does RMI stand for?

It was fantastic to meet you both at last!!

You're both amazing dancers and lovely leaders, I enjoyed every minute of dancing with you, the swapsy dance was a blast!! I want one every night now :D Salsashoes has got a cracking photo of it, you've got a look of mishief on your face and I'm not sure what I've just done to The Bear but he looks positively terrified/horrified  When I get a copy I'll send it to you.

I enjoyed our first dance so much I forgot I was supposed to be DJing and there was a bit of a pause while I ran back to the stage but I don't think folks minded too much (well they didn't boo anyway ;)).

Sorry Franklyn interupted our dance towards the end of the night, I wondered what the hell he was doing stood at the side of us but apparently he wanted to put me through my paces before he left . I'm glad you got to dance with Brigitte though, she's pretty amazing isn't she!

Yes, the carpark was a bit of a nightmare last night, it's not normally like that but there was a presentation in the next function room so it was full even when we got there to set up the equipment , we normally have it to ourselves.

Thank you so much for coming, you both made my night (and probably made a lot of other ladies nights!!) Please come again sometime and let me know of any party nights round your way and maybe we can pop over the Pennines for a change and we'll have that Bachata dance :D

R M I. Railway Mechanics Institute. There is / was a huge railway yard opposite where they made trains etc and that was their social club . it is soley owned by about 90 remaining members.

Well, if you're interested ... Franklyn and Brigitte are teaching this coming Friday at the Wetherby Engine Shed. Classes 8.15 - 10.00 then free dancing till 2am (or until the club owner decides he's had enough which is usually a bit earlier). I could maybe even organise accomodation afterwards, although it would take you well away from Horwich and into the Yorkshire Dales (Wensleydale, Grommit).

We couldn't get you on the guest list (we don't have anything to do with its organisation), but you'll meet me and Mrs KP, possibly The Bear again if Mrs Bear ever lets him out again, and maybe even Sweavo who sometimes makes his way across, having broken away from the tractor beam that holds him to the On2 Death Star that is Lossie and Gareth's in York.

Maybe F&B could wangle something and get you on the guest list, which makes a great night even better I always think. There's food, a large dance floor good crowd of varying abilities (from beginners to teachers) - another dance floor upstairs that's smaller, but deserted (I sometimes want to just take 12 girls upstairs, dance with each one after another and then send them downstairs when I'm done with them - - - or maybe I'm getting two fantasies mixed up there  ).

If you're interested, I can send you details about times and directions.
