This Site is Wonderful!

I just wanted to take the time to tell the owner, the site administrator and the moderators of this site that they are doing a wonderful job!

This recently became even more evident when I ran across another "salsa" site with the same phpBB format. I will not mention the name of the site, for obvious reasons. At that site, the owner has a section for comments and suggestions. Well, I made a few comments and suggestions based on what I've experienced at this site. I felt that the comments were for the site's owner, so I PM'd them. I even gave the owner the url for this site and where to see the guidelines for the site.

Well, the response from the owner of that site was simply horrible and very mean-spirited! It was something like "Who are you to tell me..." bla, bla, bla, bla! Keep in mind that that owner asks for comments and suggestion on their very site!!!!

I should have anticipated such a response, because also on that site the owner was balling out one of the participants and then later apologizes to the participant when the participant pointed out that the comments were not called for.

Wow! I deleted the playlists for my show that I had posted and asked to be unsubscribed ASAP!

You guys at SalsaForums.com are simply the best! When it comes to professionalism, etiquette, decorum, protocol, the owner at that other site is simply lost and doesn't have a clue as to why the site has so little participation! It's the owner!

I just want to add my appreciation for this site. I've looked at loads of salsa forums (with lower case initials) and most were either really badly laid out or hardly used - after all, a forum is only as good as its members. This one is well laid out, it's well moderated, the mods and admins are friendly and the discussion threads are friendly, lively, informative and have a great selection of salser@s from all over the world with all levels of experience.

Wow, thanks for the positive comments! Seriously, these couldn't be more timely as it was only a few days ago that some of the staff (both here and danceforums.net) were commenting on how the better we do our "job" the less obvious it is.

And lets not forget that any forum can only be as good as its members, so my thanks to all of you as well, for helping make SF what it is! :D
