What is the "correct" salsa handhold (in closed dance position, man's left hand holding lady's right hand)?:
- The palm-to-palm ballroom style hand-hold
- The lady's down-hook over the man's sideway's hook hold
Hopefully we don't start a religious (on-1 on-2 type!) debate here! :)

I'd have to vote closer to #2 myself... lady's hands lightly curled and draped over man's sideway hands.

Is this the guapea?

We're just talking about a general hand hold, no particular move.

I think the hand hold you use tend to differ depending on your dance style (cross-body vs. cuban). It also varies depending on the move you are doing. I don't think the hand hold matters too much when you are just doing the basic in closed hold though...
