Can someone recommend a good teacher/school/studio in San Diego to get excellent salsa instruction. I moved here from the East coast and took a few lessons of salsa in Washington.

I thought it would be great to use a school so that my partner and I could work in a practice room. Our places are too small to practice in.

Thanks!

Hiya pianoman199, and welcome both to the Salsa Forums and to San Diego! 8)

Is there any particular style of salsa that you already know you want to do or are looking for? What type of salsa do you like the best/enjoy the most -- just to watch even if you're not "there" yet?

Hi Sdsalsaguy!

I love the city!

Everyone seems to be recommending Majesty in Motion at the Dance with me Academy. They're located only a few blocks from me so that would be convenient. What's your opinion.

I'm interested in on1 for now, and streetstyle. Eventually I would like to learn ballroom. I'm excited to read older posts on this forum to expand my horizons.

Thanks!

Majesty in Motion is good, and if they're that convenient that certainly works. As far as practice space, and as I mentioned over at the DF, Champion Ballroom (in Hillcrest, on 5th) is a good bet at only $5/visit. Will you be taking lessons on your own or with a partner? If you have a partner than I'd also have to recommend Jemadean Hayes – easily the most elegant female instructor in town.
