Your favorite instructional DVD/video?

Hey guys, I just bought an instructional salsa DVD, but I'm pretty disappointed with it. Many moves are basic, and lots look the same. All in all, I only found 1 or 2 moves interesting in there and that's it.

Do you have any DVD in particular to recommend?

Which DVD did you purchase? It wasn't Mirlon Silva's "Let's Dance Salsa" series was it? ;) :P

Depending on your level I think you could do well with SuperMario's DVDs. I don't own one myself, but I have purchased 4 individual patterns from www.steps4salsa.com and they look like something I would like. I would say you'll have to be a solid intermediate level to have use of the moves.

The only Shines DVD I own is Jai and Candy's and I was midly suprised how advanced it is. It's not so much the stepping, but the body movement that they use. You really have to work on one shine at a time to really get the movement/look/feel of the shine down pat.

If you are in look for all spectacular ad unique moves u will be always disappointed as it is about creativity and u might not always like it. Go always for 30% of DVD and the rest is fine!!!

the latest i have and would recommend would be:

- Hacha y Machete turn pattern and also the body movements dvd

- Salsa with the Stars - New Moves on 1, on 2 & Cuban from www.salsaisgood.com : a unique and very project of the art all "salsa styles and stars united"! Lot of material! I like it! By the way their rhythm and timing CD is one if not the best i have come across!

- Ismael Otero's Advanced Moves with Jamie. A lot f material as well.

Let's Dance Salsa with Marlon Silva :D Those green screen tropical backdrops they use are great arent they?

I personally like the videos from Bernard and Sonyo Martinez. They provide clear and concise instruction on1 and on2.
