I'm in Munich between 16th and 18th December for a short break. Does anyone have any recomendations? I have seen this
http://www.salsaforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=1551&highlight=munich
But I can't find it on a map. Does anyone know of anywhere central? I can dance any style and like bachata....
I am looking in the clubs in your area bit too...just wondered if anyone had any first hand experience of dancing in munich.

In Munich there is a salsa club open every night, up to 3 club per night.
You'll have fun there.
Don't remember ANYTHING; there is one near the river, which is also a concert hall (I saw Manolito y su Trabujo).
Yet you just have to buy a local newspaper to see the club: buy the Wednesday edition, you'll find the listing of all clubs (either or not salsa), from Thursday to Wednesday.
My tip: contact this teacher
Salsabor Dance Academy (mit Raphael Muņoz)
Schellingstr. 109 a/EINGANG Heßstr. 48 (Hinterhof)
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday 7 p.m.
Tel + Fax 089 123 63 30
and tell him that you have been suggested by an Italian student who happened to follow his stages during 2002 in the Congress organized by Claudio Fregata; he dances every night everywhere!!! He is very gentle and will introduce you to all his dance folk, as he did with me during summer 2003

Hi!
MamboItaliano is totally right - Rafael and Ivana (his partner) are dancingwise definitely the best adress in Munich!
So u're there from sat. to mon., right?
I guess u'll do best to go to Palacio de la Salsa (http://w w w.palacio2.de) on saturday and to Skyline (http://w w w.skyline-club.de) on sunday...
At least those used to be the best locations for these days.
You can find an overview about events in Munich on salsa-munich.de (just klick on the word "Veranstaltungen" on the left side of the screen!) - perhaps there'll be some special events on this weekend that just aren't listed yet!
Anyway, have fun in Munich - if u have some questions I might help u with, please feel free to contact me! :D
